Thrifted vs. Styled: Halloween Edition 👻

I have boxes and BOXES of thrifted treasures tucked away in my garage, and I absolutely love pulling them out and curating festive decor for the holidays. 🖤

For this little corner, I dug out some of my favorite thrifted treasures from over the years, added my two latest Goodwill finds, and created this moody, spooky vintage Halloween moment. 🎃

Proof that everything is better when it’s thrifted. ♻️

And Sacramento Valley + Northern Nevada thrifters, Halloween has officially arrived at Goodwill! Time to hunt for those spooky secondhand treasures. 👀

Dreams really do come true!

Today I had the opportunity to meet with the Marketing Director, CEO, and COO of Goodwill Sacramento Valley & Northern Nevada stores alongside an amazing group of fellow content creators! Shout out to Suzi, Bryan and Ralph!

We got a behind-the-scenes look at how inventory is processed, priced, stocked, and shipped out while touring their warehouse. I also learned so much more about Goodwill's mission and the many meaningful programs they provide within our community. It was really eye-opening to see how the items we donate and shop for help support programs, services, job training, and opportunities for others.

And of course... we got a sneak peek at their Halloween inventory BEFORE it officially releases September 27th! 00 As someone who loves thrifting AND Halloween, I was basically in heaven. Dreams. Do. Come. True.

But this isn't the end! I'm so excited to be collaborating with Goodwill at the end of the month, and I can't wait to share more with you soon!

Such a fun day learning what happens behind the scenes, meeting other creators, and gaining a better understanding of the bigger mission behind one of my favorite places to thrift.

Everything you see in this video came home with me! I found some really cool vintage frames, and now I can't wait to hunt down the perfect art to put inside them. And that original 1960s oil painting?! Now I need to thrift the perfect frame for it.

Also... NEVER skip the books at the bins! I love digging through them because you can find some seriously cool, unexpected treasures.

Today is September 1st, so that means it's officially fall, right?!

Style my Halloween mantel with me using thrifted treasures! I wanted it to have the feeling of an ofrenda while still fitting in with my vintage, Mexican-inspired style. Almost everything you see was found secondhand, and I even gave a few pieces a little DIY makeover to make them look like terracotta!

This is just the beginning. As Día de Mu***os gets closer, I'll be adding photos of loved ones who have passed to make this space even more meaningful.

There's just something about decorating for fall and Halloween with pieces you've collected one treasure at a time. Thrifted finds, vintage pieces, and a little creativity.
