Using various yarns from my stash for this fun project. the Zelda Crop (Handmade Closet by Olga Putano). Cast on with Neighborhood Fiber Company Rustic Fi*****ng in Ernest Snow. Began colorwork with Malabrigo Sock in Tin Soldier (purchased at A Bit o' Yarn in Englewood FL in Feb 22) and will proceed with colorwork and body using two skeins of a beautiful blue fi*****ng weight yarn called Cashmere Squeeze purchased at Knit on Pearl in Jackson WY in July 2019. Can't wait to see how this all comes together. My first colorwork sweater. Thanks for the inspiration, Purls of Wisdom PA!

Age of Brass and Steam by Orange Flower Yarn. Knitted with Juniper Moon Farm Cumulus Rainbow in Peakcock Feather. This is a luxuriously soft yarn, and super lightweight, made from 94% cotton and 6% nylon. It feels like a cloud around your shoulders. This was a fun, quick knit and would be a great first shawl for any new knitters out there - garter tab cast on (optional), knitting, purling, yarn overs, and simple M1 L&R increases. Suitable for most any yarn just by varying your needle size. Loving it in this gradient fade. This is As You Wish, an inconceivable (!) mystery knit along by Mary Annarella of . The pattern was based on the movie The Princess Bride with sections inspired by the fire swamp, true love, shrieking eels, swords and boulders, the pit of despair, more. So much fun to knit!

I used AT Haynes House Yarns, Haynesville Fi*****ng, in C1 Kee Kee (purple), C2 The Good Ice (blue), C3 Gray Not Grey (gray), and C4 Liquid Mermaid (green). 1000% merino wool with lovely light drape and soft hand.

Loving the springtime colors and looking forward to springlike temperatures soon!

Finally finished my Blissed Out asymmetrical triangular shawl by . I purchased this yarn at a little yarn shop called The Fluffy Sheep in Berwick, PA, 13 months ago on the day I received my first Covid-19 vaccine.

The yarn is Aisling Yarns Hand-Dyed 100% Blue-Face Leicester Wool in colorways Remains of the Day (yellow), Splash (variegated blue-green), and Seaweed (blue). Washing and blocking gave this wool a lovely soft hand and drape.

I had plenty of yarn to work with so I modified the pattern to make it bigger by adding an extra repeat of the honeycomb section and some extra rows of eyelet lace and garter stitch.

Hello! I haven't posted here in a while. I've been knitting a lot, focusing on skill building, and making gifts for friends. I'm currently working the As You Wish MKAL and loving how the colors and stitch patterns are coming together. Hoping to finish this one by April 8, when I'll be heading to the Lancaster Knitters Retreat with my wonderful friends Cynthia Brandon and Maria Mackas. This is an asymmetrical triangular shawl featuring a vintage take on the colors of the American flag. Pattern is based on the Road Trip Shawl by Christy Becker. Yarn is Cloudborn Superwash Sock Twist - a blend of Peruvian highland wool and 20% nylon for the perfect combination of softness and warmth. Thanks to the gorgeous stitch definition of its high-quality wool, this fantastic fiber option is a great choice for accessories and colorwork. Colors used include Navy, Burgundy, and Oatmeal Heather. A perfect accessory for any day of the year, but especially Memorial Day, the 4th of July, Election Day, and Veteran's Day. Next on the needles. Had this colorway in mind, first for Memorial Day and then for the 4th of July, but got a bit sidetracked with other projects. It's okay though, because I'll have it ready to wear at the polls on November 2, 2021. Local Friends, come see me at the Worcester Community Hall if you decide to vote in person, 7am to 8pm.
