In the 1940’s, Norwegians made and wore red pointed knit hats with a tassel (called “nisselue” hats) as a form of visual protest against N**i occupation of their country. The N**is made these protest hats illegal and punishable by law to wear, make, or distribute. This hat has been adapted and renamed the “Melt the Ice” hat. It is being worn by folks at various protests and demonstrations. Here is my take on the hat. Made to order! One size fits most, easy-care acrylic. Will be in this semi-flecked yarn (until I run out) or a dark solid red. $15 plus shipping; shipping discount for multiple orders. Message me if interested.
