Some of my favorite memories are helping my dad set up at flea markets.

The early morning smells of wet grass and coffee and the excitement when he gave me my $5 to spend on whatever I wanted. I would scout the fields and return to him with an addition to my glass figurine collection. He taught me the art of negotiating and falling in love with old things. To hold something in your hands from the 1800’s and to wonder what house it was in and who else has held it in th

eir hands and loved it through the years are magical to me. A hand painted vase, beautiful embroidered gloves, the smell of an old book. All of these treasures hold a story. My dad repurposed and recycled before it was popular. I was junkin when junkin wasn’t cool! It is in my blood and I am at my happiest when I am on the hunt for my next roadside pick or yard sale score. And he is with me – I know he is. Come visit The Wrentham Country Store, where I am a Shop Girl along with 25+ others who sell our wares of upcycled, repurposed finds. Those treasures still have stories to be told. . .
