Thro’back Thursday!

Pedalboard edition. 🤦🏼‍♂️ From 6 pedals to 20…overkill? Absolutely! Would I have it any other way? Negative 🤣

Now the tone experts will say…”with that many pedals, it degrades the original signal”. That may be an accurate statement but that is where ignorance is bliss. This is the only rig I have played with this board and my only experience. The tone IS the tone and with a well placed EQ pedal…it sounds fantastic to me. Key word…ME.

We are all in different places in our guitar journey but the key to all of it is that YOU are happy with where you are at. Have fun, experiment, challenge yourself when needed but the whole point is to enjoy what you are doing…that is what keeps you engaged and wanting to learn more! 🤘

So HAVE FUN! and Play it Loud!

Blues Monday!

In the mood for some slide guitar? Grab you an earful of Sonny Landreth!

I have a 9 hour road trip today across Mississippi and into Louisiana, can’t think of a better playlist to listen to than some Delta Blues.

Not considered a pioneer of the genre but Sonny certainly has made his mark as an exceptional slide guitarist! 🤘

Night cap project…

Working on the PhilCo Radio Amp conversion and decided I wanted to add a built in delay pedal.

Picked up a used Analog Mod Tone that fit the bill, a little modification to a blank bronze wall plate and bam!

I’ll make a matching plate for the in/out jacks on the back along with a battery box. 🤘

Pretty sure I have the body all done and in final mock up. The neck will have to wait until later in the week.

Hanging with 9lbs of bad assery! ‘99 Deluxe Fat Strat in Transparent Teal over Ash…man, what a mouth full and a load of a guitar!

Officiando’s will certainly notice or point out it does not have the LSR nut on it. Let me save you the trouble, unfortunately in a life it lived before I rescued it, it had a neck replacement. When it came to me, it had a 2019 Frnder replacement neck on it. It now has a ‘99 Standard neck on it, close as u could get and at least it is “period correct”. Made 1 month apart from the body and electronics.
