One of the best things about a hardwax oil finish is how easy it is to maintain and keep looking incredible for years to come.

In this video, we’re conditioning this piece using Howard Butcher Block Conditioner and fine steel wool to work that conditioner deep into the surface and grain.

This helps nourish the wood, enrich the depth and tone, and keep the table looking rich and protected as it ages. Over time, conditioning like this helps fully saturate the pores and maintain that smooth, natural feel that makes hardwax finished pieces so special.

Real wood is meant to be lived with, maintained, and appreciated for generations. A little care goes a long way.

Simple. Grounded. Built to last.

Just finished up these custom black walnut legs for the 9 foot black walnut table, and these things came out incredible.

We started by pretreating the wood with a black walnut stain to deepen the richness and grain, followed it up with a black stain to add that bold, grounded tone, then sealed everything in with a durable conversion varnish for long term protection.

The result is a clean, understated look that lets the craftsmanship speak for itself. Nothing flashy. Just solid design, rich texture, and a finish that’s going to make this table feel next level in its final space.

Fresh off the epoxy table and straight to the cut.

Nothing better than peeling this thing out of the mold and finally seeing the shape come together. Now it’s time to clean up the edges and bring this piece to life.

Putting the 40V 10 1/4" track saw to work and letting it eat. Clean cuts. Dead straight lines. No room for mistakes at this stage.

This 8’ x 40” three piece Black Walnut table has the kind of presence that changes a room the second it goes in. Deep natural tones, flowing grain, and just enough character to stop people in their tracks without trying too hard.

This isn’t the kind of table you replace in a few years. It’s the table people gather around. The one people remember. The centerpiece of the home.

Those final scratches are easy to miss on raw wood… until the finish hits and suddenly they’re all you can see.

This is the stage where we slow down, hit every angle, check the light, and make sure this piece is truly ready for finish. The little details make all the difference.

Our exquisite epoxy warming station.

Gallons of lined up in the front window, soaking in that morning sun and getting dialed into that perfect pouring temp. Around 75 degrees and this stuff flows like wine.

Meanwhile that 9 foot bookmatched black walnut underneath it all is just quietly stealing the show in the sunlight.

This deep AOI HI BLUE from is something else. Dark, rich, and about to completely transform this piece once the epoxy settles in.
