Honored to finish the first stage of this large for a couple. Their guests will sign this next month and I’ll seal it up to protect that. It features wood from 1700’s houses in the towns where they met and had their first date, and pen holders from a@timber in a 1700’s store in the town where they now live. Once it’s signed and sealed up I can’t wait to see it hanging in their home.

More real stories from my home… this on Mary Matthews Howes who bought the house in 1902. She’s focused on the upstairs of the house and and has a sad story. But she’s a friendly roommate who runs a tight ship.

This board says simple to accent the Roman numerals that were part of the construction of this 1850 barn. This was a smaller scrap but luckily had the markings on it to make it interesting. I finally cracked the code on the history of this place so will share more in some upcoming posts. For now, a teaser: the family who built this tracks back centuries and descendants remain in the area.

Ugh. Whelp. That didn’t go smoothly. Working on a big custom project for a repeat customer with a time constraint. Good time for my air compressor to die. If you note the various parts on the bottom right you’ll see I did everything I could to save it but… so a 6 trip this morning to get a new one. Back on track. Sigh.
