A multipurpose bedroom needs furniture that works as hard as you do. This bedroom was designed to not only function for occasional guests but as a play area, home office, and a quiet place to read. For the play area, we added this adorable table and chairs so their young grandchildren could have an area to color, play games, or get creative with Play-Doh.

When you think of decorating, do you ever think about how you want your home to feel? Yes, color and style are important, but knowing how you want it to feel is the main ingredient in bringing your home's story to life.

When I was going through my building process, I knew I wanted my home to feel like it had been nestled in the oak trees for years, both inside and out. To bring that vintage feel to our bedroom, we added a deeply recessed window on either side of our bed. A great amount of thought went into getting this just right, and in the end, it was all worth it! It reminds me of something you would see in an old stone cottage, and getting a glimpse of nature is the perfect start to my day.
