I saw this decoration for a carrot cake and thought it looked so easy and cute, plus it’s my dad’s favorite kind of cake! I made it with a hummingbird cake twist, adding crushed pineapple and whole walnuts. Topped off with a cream cheese frosting and little chocolate greens, the whole thing is so moist and delicious! Does every father love carrot cake or just all the ones I know? ☺️

So excited about this one! Back in June at an art fair, I noticed a couple passing by my booth a few times, pointing and talking to each other. Close to the end of the fair, Brandi & Lora finally came to me. They said they loved one of my pieces, but had an idea to run by me!

They saw the Heart Hands (last picture) piece I had, but wondered if I could recreate it on a plaque large enough for their guests to sign at their wedding. I loved this unique idea for a guestbook! I added some personal touches specific to their day and here is the end result! Cannot wait to see it signed by all their guests in all the colors of the rainbow! 🌈

I loved working with these 2 on their vision to turn my artwork into a small part of memorializing their day! Congratulations Lora & Brandi!

Anyway…. these polymer clay beads are paired with donut beads made from red jasper. The minimal weight of the blue beads make this chain a lighter option than the chains containing the semiprecious blue stone, lapis, while still getting the larger donut pizzazz!
