From what I’ve learnt it loves a sunny spot and well drained soil. It needs a hard prune at the end of flowering to slow down it going woody at the base. I missed the moment last autumn to prune it so now waiting for the frosts to pass and then I’ll prune ready for the new growth this year.

Looks like we are going to have sunshine today though - going to get out for a long walk and make the most of it if we do!
