More from this Mountain Brook project. This dining room makes me so happy. The paneling and that wood ceiling give it a little old-house character, and the banquette makes it feel like a room you’d actually want to linger in, not just one you use on holidays!

Perfect little corner! The skirted cabinets are one of my favorite tricks. They hide all the stuff a family room actually needs, and they add softness you’d never get from another set of doors.

This is honestly one of my favorite parts of the process! Before anything gets ordered, we lay out all the fabrics and finishes together so we can see how the colors and prints flow from room to room. It’s where the whole house starts to feel connected.

When you paint the walls and the curtains the same color, the whole room feels like a hug.

That’s exactly what we wanted for the Southwood den, a space you sink into at the end of the day. 💜

This Mountain Brook kitchen makes me so happy! We kept the backdrop light and quiet so everything else could have a little fun. The wood island warms things up, the green stools keep it from feeling too serious, and I was not letting go of that red rug. I don’t know why, but I think every kitchen needs one thing that looks like it wandered in from another room!
