My very favorite thing to do is transform a whole room using things client already owns by repurposing, rearranging, restyling, rehanging etc! It's incredible how different a space can feel without buying a thing! Ecological and more affordable.

For this living room, we swapped couches between the den and living room, we added a rug that was in their garage, we hung different artwork above the fireplace, rearranged the chairs to create more of a circle vibe, restyled the objects on the mantel, and hung some guitars for artwork!

Getting texts like these make my day! Not to mention, I feel so seen when someone essentially calls me a witch.

I'm posting to let you know that my business, Cloud 9 Redesign is officially relaunching, after a number of years on hiatus! And if you don't live locally, we can still work together on Zoom!

During the pandemic, a beloved former client reached out to ask if I'd be willing to do some virtual design work with her, even though my business was closed and I'd never worked remotely. I decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did.

"Kyle and I met for an hour nearly every week, for a good while. She encouraged me in my choices and gently steered me away from dubious ideas. She didn't deter me from my maximalist tendencies in my small home, but helped me to spatially visualize what could be done comfortably. Honestly, I considered it a form of therapy that got me through a tough time.

Kyle is a muse to me; she's inspired, supported, and guided me to achieve the home I wanted, and needed. Years ago her profile in "The Boston Globe Magazine" made me a fan of her style. But she herself made me a fan of her personally. Kyle held my hand, virtually, and used her amazing eye to guide me to find joy in my decor. Even remotely she was able to direct me to curate and arrange all my tchotchkes in a cohesive way. Mind blowing. At the same time she gave me confidence in my own decisions so that I could continue without her."

Working with my dear client proved how much can be accomplished virtually! Our meaningful work together inspired me to reopen Cloud 9, now with virtual appointments. I'm excited by the idea of working with you, wherever you are in the world! What fun.

I still offer one-off consultations, but the new model of short weekly sessions with my former client also inspired me to offer a new service, home coaching for individuals, and small groups. Group coaching would be particularly fun with a group of your friends or family, as we inspire and cheer each other on, to tackle home projects you've been putting off forever.

Once we get to the other side of this Omicron surge, I hope to offer, in-person, my signature service, One-Room Redesign. Depending on the direction this pandemic takes, I may also offer other in-person services in the future. Either way, I'll be offering virtual appointments for the long haul.
