The Department of Handloom & Textiles, BTC, proudly celebrated the 12th National Handloom Day 2026 today at the Cultural Complex, Mushalpur, under the theme "Honouring the Hands that Weave Our Heritage."
The programme was graced by Hon'ble Executive Member, BTC, Handloom & Textiles, as the Chief Guest, in the august presence of Hon'ble Executive Member Shri Augustus Tigga.
Hon'ble MLA of Baksa, Hon'ble MLA of Manas, Hon'ble MCLAs, Former Executive Members, Former MCLAs of BTC, Secretary, BTC,H&T, Joint Secretary BTC, H&T and other distinguished dignitaries, officials, weavers, artisans, and stakeholders.
The celebration paid heartfelt tribute to the dedication, skill, and rich cultural heritage of our handloom weavers, whose craftsmanship continues to preserve and promote the unique identity of Bodoland.
The occasion also reaffirmed the Department's commitment to strengthening the handloom sector through innovation, market linkage, capacity building, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for weavers.
On this special occasion, the Department expresses its sincere gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, weavers, artisans, and well-wishers whose presence made the celebration a grand success.
