🍗 Chicken Garlic Bread
🛒 Ingredients
For the chicken filling:
1 cup boneless chicken, finely chopped
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp garlic, minced
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp red chili flakes
½ tsp paprika or red chili powder
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp ketchup
½ cup mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander or parsley
For the garlic butter:
3 tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tbsp chopped parsley or coriander
½ tsp oregano
Pinch of salt
For the bread:
1 large baguette/French bread or 1 large loaf of soft bread
Extra mozzarella cheese for topping
👩🍳 Step-by-Step
1. Cook the chicken
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 20–30 seconds.
Add the chopped chicken, salt, black pepper, chili flakes, and paprika.
Cook for about 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is completely cooked.
2. Make the filling
Turn off the heat and let the chicken cool slightly.
Mix in:
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp ketchup
½ cup mozzarella
Chopped coriander/parsley
Mix everything well.
3. Make the garlic butter
In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, parsley/coriander, oregano, and a pinch of salt.
4. Prepare the bread
Cut the baguette lengthwise, but don't cut it completely through if you want the two halves to stay attached.
Brush the garlic butter generously over the inside of the bread.
5. Add the chicken filling
Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bread.
Add a generous layer of mozzarella cheese on top. 🧀
6. Bake
Place the bread on a baking tray.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and the edges are golden and crispy.
For extra browning, use the top heat/broiler for 1–2 minutes, watching it carefully.
7. Cut and serve
Let it rest for 2–3 minutes, then cut into pieces.
Serve hot with garlic mayo, ketchup, or your favorite dipping sauce. 😋
🔥 Beginner Tip
Don't overcook the chicken before baking—the chicken only needs to be fully cooked in the pan. The oven is mainly for toasting the bread and melting/browning the cheese.
