Someone on Threads asked how do you store jeans and I shared my system. Next thing I knew the post had over 10K views, so I thought I’d share here as well.

I use gold shower hooks and hang them by the belt loop. Dark to light, left to right. Typically there isn’t tension on the belt loop but if there is, I fold the jeans and double the loop.

I installed this closet in 2024 and it has been working great. I still love the gold pipe system. When I can see everything at a glance it makes getting dressed so much easier.

Watching J Schatz and walk us through their full process, from the color studies on the worktable to the kiln, was the kind of behind-the-scenes moment you don’t forget. This is Detroit-made design at its finest and I am proud to be in a city that produces work like this. Thanks to for a discussion.

One hundred years of history in a single arch!

This arch stopped me the first time I walked through. One hundred years old, original to the home, and it immediately set the tone for everything we were about to do. This home has several arches, each one a reminder of the history, design and architecture of that time and of Detroit.

I wonder who lived here then? I also wonder who will live here now?

That is how this project got its name. Arch History.

Arches are having a moment right now, but this one never needed one. It has been here the whole time. Our job was to make sure it stays.

One hundred years of history in a single arch!

Look up!

When you put a pattern on the ceiling, the first thing people do is look up. That was the whole point. This is from the Norman Wyatt collection for wallpaper in the entryway of the YB Project, and getting to connect with at High Point this year made this project feel even more full circle.
