Breathing in, breathing out, repeat ... life's hurdles aside, when a pack of Dina's gorgeous rubons "accidentally" flew open, I was forced to enjoy a bit of arty crafty time, stat. Thank goodness for these moments! 😂💜

This page started as the background of Dyan's Dylusions pastel paints from the other day (made using Dylusions stamps, Block It). I've glued on a stamped cat (Dylusions Purrfect) wearing birds on her head (Tim's Bird Crazy), chatting to an octopus wearing girl (Dylusions It's All in the Mind), with an adorable dog from an old pack of Dylusions Dy Cuts (also is a stamp, Dylusions Puppy Dog Tales).
The rubons transferred onto the painted page so beautifully, easy peasy! Can't wait to try out the apron, workplace pad (A3 ish sized), tissue and chroma transparencies!

Stamping, stenciling and painting with Dylusions paints and Caykes n Sticks using pretty pastel colours to make a background. Next is to add characters and some thoughts 😁 The hardest bit about this page was deciding what colours to use from Dyan's release! No wonder everyone was painting pastel rainbows, they're all beautiful. 🫟🌈🌀🎨
I've used Dyan's Dylusions stamp set 'Block It', stamped with Lilac Haze Dylusions paint applied using a foam blending tool 🫟 Love how fast this paint dries, while staying wet on the rubber stamp long enough to line up and print each hex design.
Created on the fabulous watercolour paper inside Dina Wakley blue journal, using Tim Holtz Stencils (Berry Leaves ths174, Brush Hex ths166, Honecomb ths005) also with foam blending tools. Splatters of Distress Spritz Spray 'Saltwater Taffy' everywhere.
Paint colours used are Antique Cream, Coral Reef, Lilac Haze, Cotton Candy, lced Pistachio. Sticks n Caykes colours are Lemon Zest, Pure Sunshine, Laidback Lilac, Calypso Teal.

How's your doodling going? Mine from May are in my Dylusions large Ledger Journal on the lovely smooth printed mixed media paper. Inspired by Dyan Reaveley - Dylusions and her YouTube videos, I scribbled, doodled and coloured in patterns for 20-30 minutes each evening, favouring the dot grid and graph lines which is why the dates are all over the place! I found out that if I draw slower, my lines get neater, only took all month to realise this! 🤣 Need to do some more to practice. Any excuse to create more art!

Giving the Universe something to talk about! I stamped Dina's bears in the Dina watercolour journal ages ago but as I can't remember what I was going to do, I decided they needed to have a super bright background to go with their snow white fur, which I got 'dirty' from overspray! lol This is why I don't wear white, I can't stay clean for 5 minutes 🤣
After painting around the bears with water, I sprayed it with Dyan's new Dylusions ink sprays in Lemon Drop, Tropical Sangria (pink) and Margarita Bucket (purple). Loved watching the colours blend! I did dry it with the Ranger heat tool inbetween so they didn't blend completely together. The stencil stars are Dylusions 9x12 Star Flurry, faux bleached with water and paper towel, then drawn around with white gel pen and paint marker. The crown was painted in Sour Appletini (something needed to be green!) then smothered with Ranger Star Dust Stickles.
Text was written in Dylusions Bigger Back Chat stickers : one day I'm going to rule the world, until then I'm going to bed! - and Dina Wakley Typo Transparencies : be a dreamer of dreams. we are capable of everything, all of us are crazy in one way or another. Give the Universe something to talk about. Nothing is too small to know.
Snarky wisdom with heartfelt thoughts on bright colourful art. Fun in every way!

I've painted a wild and magical moonlit night in the desert, or a garden that grows cactus! 🫟🌀🌻
Dina Wakley cactus stencils used with Dylusions regular and shimmer paint, Distress paint, the Tim Holtz moon mask and Sparkle Fade stencil, paint pens, and the Dina Wakley Flutter Rubons, all inside my Dina Wakley watercolour journal.
And Ranger's Dylusions Dyamond Stickles glitter glue over the moon and butterfly wings 🦋

Art never fails to amaze me at how different it looks with each layer of paint!
I started out using ultra bright Dylusions paint and a piece of Dina Wakley's Typographic Transparency, over which a mixed mash of Distress Paints, Dina Gesso and Dylusions Paints were blended through stencils. Lots of waiting to dry! Wonderful words by Dina Wakley were stamped on tissue inside a Dylusions tag stamp, and lots of neon spots were dotted around using the end of a brush.
I'll add this to our Creative Space (craft blog) so you can see it bigger, brighter (because it isn't a dull page) and with better explanations! Hope you've had a marvellous (arty crafty) weekend!
