Itā€™s been crickets here, I know.

So much life has been in flux though.

We acquired a building and have been setting up businesses.

Two kids moved out, one of these also graduating the first two years of college, and the other moving aļæ¼way for the second two years of ļæ¼college, a third graduated high school, and the youngest was in both flag football and tennis this season. Itā€™s been a whirlwind 6 months since we were here as I stepped out of my Designer role at La-Z-Boy.ļæ¼ ļæ¼ļæ¼

I refuse to post the before pictures from December (they are BAD) until I can also show some after progress. Lots of things being sorted, expunged, moved into the warehouse, construction materials reorganized here.

But I have been working on the yard.

The grass needs cut again despite the heat, but my front garden beds are looking beautiful. The lavender planted along the walkway needed desperately trimmed, but is about to bloom and should look gorgeous along with the catmint around the tree and former tree.

We are in the process of cleaning + painting the building we leased last week, beginning set up and moving items over in an organized fashion.

But Iā€™m actively pulling materials and fixtures to piece the dream together.

Beyond celebrating tonight, we got the keys to the building!!!

Chris will be using the warehouse for his plumbing business.

I will be utilizing the office building as my creative studio hub.

Building materials will be organized in the warehouse space to clean out the house and move this renovation forward with what is needed, as needed.

Big, BIG things to come.

The ball is rolling now, on multiple fronts.

The contract negotiations and city inspection have delayed finalizing the lease for the commercial building, which we need complete so we may move the materials out of the house.

Maybe this week???

Plus, it is coooold, 1Ā° at the moment. Not much can be done in this tundra.

So Iā€™ve been a busy bee on other fronts.

I set up a trade account with ProSource this week through my design business for access to materials at wholesale.

The building part of the property we are leasing in about a week, with a warehouse/shop for Chrisā€™ plumbing business (moving the storage out of the Biddle house), plus a space to move the construction materials we donā€™t need at the moment, and this creative studio space for me to begin running my own business. šŸ˜ƒšŸ„³
