This bespoke oak frame porch is taking shape, with a roof formed using solid oak rafters and finished with oak tongue-and-groove boarding to create a timeless, character-filled interior.

Every piece is carefully crafted in our workshop before being brought together on site. The team are looking forward to seeing this one installed and bringing another exceptional project to life.

It’s brilliant to see our little boy so eager to get involved and learn. There’s something special about watching the next generation take an interest in traditional craftsmanship.

A huge credit to Christian The Manx Viking Project for keeping these historic skills alive and showcasing the old methods with such passion and authenticity. It’s inspiring to see these crafts being preserved for future generations.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about returning to a project years later and seeing it looking every bit as impressive as the day it was completed.

This handcrafted oak porch has matured beautifully, with the natural character of the oak only enhancing its timeless appeal. Built using traditional craftsmanship and the finest materials, it was designed to stand the test of time.

The house itself looks exceptional—a true credit to our clients, whose attention to detail and care have created a home of real quality and character. Projects like these remind us that great craftsmanship only gets better with age.

A well-deserved night out with the lads after a busy few weeks. Promised them steak and a few pints of Guinness for all the hard work they’ve put in—and they definitely earned it. Cheers, boys.

Couldn’t be prouder of the boys on this one. The quality of workmanship, the effort, and the attention to detail have been outstanding from start to finish.

The oak frame carport is really starting to come together, and the slate roof has finished it off beautifully. The oak feather-edge cladding is now complete, with every board individually pre-drilled before being fixed with stainless steel nails. It’s a time-consuming process, but attention to detail is what makes the difference. Delighted with how this build is progressing and proud of the craftsmanship that’s gone into every stage. 🪵🔨
Thanks goes to the lads at Apex Roofing Ltd for the slate work. Top job as always.

Oak Frame Carport Progress Update 🪵🔨

The target was to get the frame to this stage before the TT break—and we’re delighted we made it.

With the fantastic weather we’ve had, it was tough going at times, but after 6 days of work from just the two of us, the project is really starting to take shape. Seeing traditional oak framing come together never gets old.

Plenty more to do, but we’re proud of what’s been achieved so far and excited to get back at it today after TT break. Oak stud walls and oak feather edge cladding will be underway this week.
