When to buy art…

If you hear the water lapping on the boat, remember that 7:30 sunset in Florida or imagine your toes in the cool, white sand - buy the art.
Art should poke at a memory, sound, smell, emotion - something you can’t quite verbalize, but the art seems to say it perfectly.

TIP: Do not buy art for a space. Find the space for art.

This coastal painting looks perfect in all these room. From a kitchen to a child’s room, good art just works.

🙅🏻‍♀️Time out! Needed to step away, I was going down the rabbit hole of undisciplined, random brushstrokes!

🦟Opinions? What do you see? Spots that bug you?
There’s a lot that bugs me so you won’t hurt my feelings by pointing out…I’d appreciate the critiques.

Patience, it’s not my strong suit…
Definitely not a good thing when trying to focus on a creating a harmonious painting.

The dusk sky - looks like a light blue and purples maybe some pinks… easier said than done.
And the reflection- 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve mixed so much paint!

I’ll keep at it… stay tuned.

I always, ALWAYS get discouraged during the early stages of a painting because they’re so ugly 🙄

I have to just keep painting… eventually things start to take shape & I can see the result I want.

Need to trust my instincts more!

10 years ago today, hard to believe. Not a Labor Day weekend goes by I don’t have a cry missing all things Dad.
