The Opening Reception was scheduled for this Saturday January 11, but due to potential hazardous weather conditions predicted across much of Georgia it has been postponed. There will now be a Closing Reception March 16th. The Gallery is open Tuesday January 14th during regular hours so feel free to check it out if you get a chance!

Cassava is one of the most important crops harvested in Africa; a staple of everyday cooking and vital to nutrition. In “Cassava Farming with Baby”, we meet a mother in Sierra Leone harvesting cassava root with her child lovingly swaddled to her back. This piece is part of a collection of prints celebrating working mothers across the globe and how they impart knowledge and tradition to their children through everyday activities.
