If we do not take care of our children, who will take that responsibility? This is why Kuza Kids Shaping Futures is not only about supporting children in their journey of empowerment; we also care about their everyday needs and well-being.

We support children in different ways, including providing open shoes that they can use when going to school and at home. We believe that caring for children goes beyond sports it is about creating opportunities, supporting their needs, and helping them grow with dignity and confidence.

We sincerely appreciate Coach Moses from Eldoret for coming to visit us, seeing what we are doing, and supporting our coaches and children. Your time, knowledge, and support mean a lot to us.

🏀 Kuza Kids Coaches’ Training Leading Through Sport

Last week, we started a special training for our Kuza Kids Shaping Futures coaches, focusing on leadership and the power of sport to change lives.

We learned that being a good coach is not only about teaching skills and winning games. It is about being a positive role model, guiding children, building their confidence, and creating hope for our brothers and sisters in the refugee community.

Most importantly, we reflected on how we can put God first in sport and use the opportunities we have on the field and court to share His Word, show His love, and positively impact the lives of children.

We would also like to deeply appreciate FCA Fellowship of Christian Athletes — for remembering us and coming to Kakuma/Kalobeyei to share their knowledge and experience with our coaches. Your time, support, and encouragement mean so much to us.

Sport can build skills, but with God, it can also build lives. 🙏🏀⚽

⚽❤️ New arrived refugee children deserve the opportunity to experience the joy of football, make new friends, and connect with other children in the refugee community. Football brings us together, breaks barriers, and reminds us that sport is a power that belongs to everyone. Together, we play, learn, grow, and build a stronger community. 🙏⚽

🎨❤️ Every Picture Tells a Story

This artwork tells a story about the journey of refugees who arrive in a new place carrying difficult experiences from their past.

The closed eyes represent the uncertainty, fear, and pain they may carry after leaving their homes. The journey does not end when they arrive. They must learn how to balance life in a new environment while facing memories of what they have lost, separation from family members, and the challenges of starting again.

Through art, children can express feelings and experiences that are sometimes difficult to put into words. This picture reminds us that healing and hope can grow step by step.

Learning to balance the past, live in the present, and move forward toward a new future. 🌱🎨❤️

🏀 Leadership Starts Everywhere

Leadership is not only about being the coach or captain. Leadership starts with how we treat each other, accept correction, and help one another improve.

In this basketball game, these two young leaders are showing others that when a teammate makes a mistake, we should correct them with respect, encourage them, and help them do better. 💪🏽🏀

Learning to give and receive correction is an important part of teamwork, discipline, and personal growth both on and off the court.
