We are Baldy and The Fidget... aka husband and wife team Angus and Heidi Griffin. We both come from a creative, ‘arty’ background. Imagination and creativity have always been important in our lives, but got a little pushed aside due to daily life. After the birth of our son in 2015, we realised we had neglected our many books, notes, Post-its of ideas of ‘could do’, ‘cool to do’ and ‘funny to do’
sketches and scribbles. We also wanted to leave our little boy a legacy of who we really are as artists and parents. Baldy and The Fidget was born – originally named after our nicknames but now coincidentally a descriptor of our gorgeous son! We want to share our many ideas with you in the form of museum-quality prints to decorate your homes, child’s nursery or to treat a loved one. Some of our prints can be customised in the form of colour choice, or by adding name and birth date to make a unique treat for you or a gift for others. All of our pieces are lovingly created at our home in London and printed in a London studio. Angus creates ideas and images via his much-loved and worshipped computer. Heidi is ‘old school’ and hand draws everything in her trusty sketchbook. This combination of modern and traditional techniques, mixed with two quirky minds, makes for an exciting range of prints to suit most, if not all tastes. We print your lovely image at 1440 dpi, with eight passes, using a 10-colour Ultrachrome pigment ink system for accurate colour reproduction. Our prints are always sharp, detailed, and vibrant. We also use a three-level black ink technology which basically means a better grey balance, impressive mid-tones, and no colour casts, for true black and white reproduction. We use 308gsm archival quality paper, also referred to as museum-grade paper, for all of our prints. This means that the paper is acid free, resistant to tearing, free of easily oxidized material, made from cotton and has a high endurance to breakage by folding.
