Think floating floors don't need prep? Think again! This is how we ensure stability and prevent gaps!
Before you lay down those beautiful new planks, there’s one quick step you can’t skip: making sure your floor underneath is completely smooth and level (also known as screeding)!

Here is why getting that base smooth matters so much for your new floors:
❌ No Bumps or Low Spots
Because SPC flooring is firm and sturdy, any tiny bump or dip in your concrete floor will cause the planks to feel uneven or sound hollow when you walk on them.
🔒 Protects the Click System
When you walk on an uneven floor, the pieces bend slightly. Over time, this constant bending can snap the clicks holding your floor together or leave gaps between planks.
🚶‍♂️ Feels Solid Underfoot
A flat, level base ensures every part of your new floor is fully supported, so there’s zero bouncing, squeaking, or squishy feeling as you walk around.

💡 The Bottom Line: A little extra prep work under the surface makes sure your new floors look amazing, feel solid, and last for years to come!
