💜🐕🐈 It's our PlumPets FEBRUARY Raffle 📸🐈🐕💜

This month we are offering the purrfect prize with our February Raffle to help raise much-needed funds for the shelter. Professional Photographer, Ed O'Riley will be offering 3 lucky winners, a pet portrait or a portrait with your pet, depending on your preference.

We will be selling tickets for R40 each at the Plumstead Animal Hospital vet shop on Basil Road in Plumstead this month and at the Bookstall at the Under the Trees Market this Sunday (23 February). Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that
doing nothing is doing nothing
for you.

That being unproductive is unproductive
for you.

We’ve gotten so used to being busy,
so used to doing things with visible results,
so used to tracking our steps and logging our activity and ticking things off our to-do list,
that we’ve forgotten the importance of rest.

‘Doing nothing’ and being ‘unproductive’ are actually doing something productive.

They are helping you recharge.
Recoup.

Reading a magazine or having a bath or sitting in the garden with a cup of coffee are not a waste of time.

Time spent rested is not time wasted.

We are not machines.
We are not robots.
We are not here to
constantly work and move and do.

We are human beings.

And sometimes we just need to be.

Sometimes I feel like we can learn so much from the simplicity a dog's life brings. They don't get caught up in overthinking or worrying about tomorrow. They live fully in the present, finding joy in the smallest of things - a walk, a treat, just being with the ones they love.

They remind us that happiness doesn't have to be complicated, that sometimes it's the simplest moments that mean the most. In their uncomplicated way of living, they show us what it means to truly be present and content with what we have and not to take anything for granted at all.

Seafox loves... went into a very long hibernation through a couple of winters (and summers), just as the online shop was close to being launched. The pandemic was just one of the many curve balls and crises life rudely tossed my way. BUT. I will not give up on this dream and the first post-hibernation step was to create a lil' home studio space that would hold all the supplies needed to create beautiful printed items and be foxy and fly enough to spark joy and inspiration.

It took a lot of consideration to balance the fun and functionality I needed from it. Now that it's finished (enough😅), I had to share my jubilation and gratitude for finally having this dream space to work in. 🩵🩷🧡
