I absolutely loved making this piece!

I had a stunning piece of White Oak that I wanted to use in one piece and bring an old memory back to life.

The telephone bench of long ago was a place to sit, unwind and catch up with family over a scheduled call. Life was simple.

I swear it's not meant to be an ad, but rather a public announcement!

These guys have just been so good to me over the years, I wanted to do something nice - so here's me building a little pedestal to perch them on top of đŸ˜‰

You would be mad not to get your wood from Rare Woods SA

The best in the business, promise!

Aalto Part 4

Gluing up around 60 strips of ash to make up the top of this piece was incredibly satisfying.

This is the main feature of this Heritage Day Charity Build with - this would be 'scrap wood' could have been binned or burned, but rather I turned it into piece to be auctioned off for a good cause.
