JOB OPPORTUNITY | FRONT OF HOUSE & ADMINISTRATOR

We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Front of House & Administrator to join our team at Melkbos Glass and Aluminium.
This is a customer-facing role for someone who enjoys working with people, is confident handling administrative tasks, and understands the fast-paced nature of the glass and aluminium industry.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is Afrikaans first language and confident communicating in both Afrikaans and English
- Has previous experience in the glass & aluminium industry – this is essential
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills
- Is friendly, professional and well-presented
- Is highly organised and able to multitask
- Has strong attention to detail
- Is computer literate and comfortable with administrative systems
- Can confidently deal with customers, suppliers and contractors
- Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment
Key responsibilities:
- Welcoming and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Answering and managing incoming calls, emails and WhatsApp enquiries
- Handling customer queries and directing them to the relevant team member
- General reception and front-of-house duties
Preparing and processing quotes, orders and invoices
- Capturing and maintaining customer information
- Assisting with scheduling and coordinating installations
- Following up on orders and customer queries
- General office administration and filing
- Assisting the sales and workshop teams with day-to-day administration
Requirements:
Previous experience in the glass & aluminium industry is a MUST.
The successful candidate should have a good understanding of the industry, its products and terminology, and ideally have experience in a similar administrative, reception or sales-support position.
Languages: Afrikaans & English
