Lesson 4: Single Crochet
Single crochet stitch is the most basic, most compact stitch of them all. You use it when you’re making something that needs plenty of structure. It is almost always used in amigurumi (toy making).

Lesson 3 is a quick one! Every ball of yarn@should have an instruction on the label as to what size hook is recommended to use. If you are wanting a tighter, smaller stitch, you could go down a hook size of two, and if you’re wanting the stitch to be looser, you could go up a size or two.
