We supply customers with full energy audits, locally manufactured quality LED lights and complete retrofit installation services and design. The company was formed in a time when the world was slowly awakening towards sustainability and the creation of a greener world. During the same time, South Africans became aware of an imminent electricity crisis, with the South African electricity giant, Esk
om, unable to supply in all current or projected future demand. Eskom introduced the Demand Side Management Programme, and under this programme Afrison started doing Eskom Rebate Projects. During the following three years Afrison successfully completed more than 100 Eskom rebate projects covering agricultural, commercial, industrial, entertainment & hospitality industries. After vigorous testing and persistence Afrison is the first South African company to receive SABS testing and certification on a LED tube light (replacement for the fluorescent lamps). During the years to follow all Afrison products used in energy saving projects were also approved & recommended by Eskom to be used in Eskom Demand Side Programmes. Afrison started a Warehouse Division focusing on registering & supplying resellers. This decision proved to be strategically sound when Eskom cancelled their Rebate Programme towards the end of 2013. Many LED businesses was dependent on Eskom business, while Afrison not only survived this period, but continually expanded. Afrison currently has 463 registered resellers nationwide, as well as neighboring countries. During 2014 Afrison was selected as one of 4 companies to supply the Gauteng Government with energy saving solutions on one of their major projects. Afrison’s quality products and extensive project retrofit experience quickly distinguished us from other suppliers. So much so that during 2015/16 Afrison had to supply more than 80% of the total products and services required on this project. During 2015 Afrison joined forces with BBTronics, a Gauteng based company specialising in developing and manufacturing industrial and mining LED lights. This merger gave Afrison the development and manufacturing capability to ensure that Afrison brand name products are robust, superior quality and 100% suitable for the harsh African and South African environment and electricity supply. Our manufacturing plant is situated in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, and specialises in the manufacturing of a wide range of LED lighting (including mining, industrial, commercial, agricultural and residential LED lighting) and solar kits. During 2015 Afrison also introduced a solar division by acquiring EnergyAlt, a company specialising in solar products and services. This enables Afrison to supply a turn-key energy solution to clients.
