So my son is having a birthday but I have no money but I do have crafts at home so besides from spending R80 on sweets to fill bags all I needed was
1)brown paper bag
2) draw an image with glue ontop
3) apply transferable glitter paper
4) fill in gaps with glitter
And voila personalised gift bags that cost me nothing

Home made yummy banana bread made from home grown bananas.
3 ripe bananas mashed, 1 egg, 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter, 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1tsp salt. Combine all ingredients and bake at 170 degrees for 1 hour until golden brown.

Home made tomato jam. Takes about 4 hours in total.
You will need:
1kg of jam tomatoes
1 kg sugar
2 tsp of ground ginger
1 tbs of lemon juice
How to make
1) Place tomatoes in a bowl nd add boiling water for a few minutes. This makes it easier to remove skins. Then chop up tomatoes and put in a medium sized pot.
2) Add the sugar to the pot and leave for 2 or 3 hours. This allows the sugar to absorb the juices from the tomatoes.
3) Add lemon and ginger stir and boil on the stove on a medium heat until mixture turns into a jam consistency this took me an additional hour. Don't forget to stir constantly.
4) Remove from stove, pour into jars and allow to cool down before placing in fridge.

It's so easy my 10 year old son even made the batch in the photo.

I make easy affordable piñatas all you need is a box, if you want to make it strong then mix flour, water and wood glue to make a paste and then layer newspaper and this paste all over shape and wait for it to dry. Then buy tissue paper in desired colours, cut into strips and cover as desired. Don't forget to keep an opening at the top to dd candy or confetti. Alternatively I can custome make one for you if you are based in Durban my starting price is R300.

If you keen to learn some stitches here are 3. Pic 1 is basket stitch : Basket stich is 1st row: knit 3 (k3) purl 3 (p3) ending in knit 2nd row p3, k3 ending in purl 3rd row p3, k3 ending in purl 4th row k3 p3 ending in knit. Repeat these 4 rows as often as you want to make pattern.

Pic 2 is knit 2 pearl 2 ending in purl then repeat on next row starting with knit

Pic 3 is Single rib stich is created by knit 1 , purl 1 . You should end with last stich being purl. Next row start again with knit then purl etc.
