This year’s jacket range is so fabulous that they’ll turn you into a walking winter wonder-glam.

These are our quilted block print range - hand-printed in natural dyes both inside and out. Some are reversible, others have beautiful handmade coconut buttons down the front but they’re all fabulous. Available in 4 colour options and 2 different designs.

Our Cape Town store is having a sale as our lease at our current premises comes to an end - 30% off all products in store until the end of June, while stocks last. This offer is only applicable in Cape Town. This is a chance for us to catch our collective breath, and decide the shape in which we would like to move forward. Our store in Cape Town turned 3 in Feb, and we were about to renew our lease when a series of incidents in the surrounding area gave us cause to pause. It’s been 8 years since Wanderlust opened doors in Umhlanga, and the biggest gift has been the wonderful connections we’ve made with our suppliers and customers and sometimes their families, too. We were in the midst of making a decision, and a chat with our very dear customers Sue and Rupert around our dilemma provided the counsel I didn’t know we were waiting for, when Rupert wisely said, “Sometimes you need to take a step back so you can take a leap forward.” So that is what we’re going to do, until we find a space that feels more like home. We want to do that in a way that doesn’t feel forced or pressured. So at the end of June, we will be closing our store in Cape Town and giving ourselves a chance to catch our breath.

We’ve waited many months for our jackets to arrive. We ordered them two whole seasons ago, when the sun was fierce and we had morning beach swims on our mind. But such is the nature of what we do. Handmade treasures take time, and things like births, deaths, celebrations and other human happenings take precedence.

As always, the wait was worth it. You can expect beautiful embroidery, block prints in natural dyes, sequins, beads, coconut buttons and more… Here are some glimpses. We’ll have everything up on the website in a few days but you can shop in stores for now.

It’s been delightful! Nearly a week in since opening our doors in Joburg, and I’m having to pinch myself constantly. We’ve had so many Wanderlust friends and new neighbours popping in to welcome us to the city and neighbourhood, bearing beautiful flowers, cups of coffee, fruit salad and pastries. And surprisingly, we’ve had more than a few of our Durban/Umhlanga pop in to say hello too. The encouragement and warmth is priceless, and a reaffirmation of our intention to build community wherever we put down roots. Enormous thanks and love! ♥️
