WAREHOUSE STOCK CONTROLLER

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Stock Controller to join our team.
The ideal candidate must have strong stock control experience, excellent attention to detail and the ability to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of stock. This role requires someone who can work independently, lead when required, and work effectively as part of a team.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a stock control or warehouse environment.
Must live in or around the Randburg area.
Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Strong stock control and inventory management experience.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Leadership skills and the ability to supervise or guide warehouse staff.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be a strong team player and willing to assist colleagues when required.
Must be willing to work weekends and Saturdays as required.
Good communication skills.
Must be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Must be a neat and organised worker who takes pride in maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse.
Ability to identify stock discrepancies and take initiative to resolve problems.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate stock records and ensure stock is correctly recorded on the system.
Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
Receive, check and accurately record incoming stock.
Prepare and process stock transfers.
Monitor stock levels and identify shortages or discrepancies.
Ensure all warehouse stock is correctly labelled, stored and organised.
Assist with picking, packing and dispatching orders.
Ensure stock is handled carefully and efficiently.
Supervise and assist warehouse staff when required.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organisation.
Ensure company stock control procedures are followed.
Work closely with the sales, accounts and management teams.
Assist with implementing improved stock control procedures.
Report stock issues and discrepancies to management.
Take responsibility for ensuring that the warehouse operates efficiently and accurately.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is mature, responsible and takes ownership of their work. You must be able to identify problems, think quickly and find practical solutions.
You should be comfortable working independently without constant supervision, but also enjoy working as part of a team. Leadership ability is important, as you may be required to guide and assist other warehouse staff.
