Leasa Mensing is a former fashion and decor stylist whose passion for decorating has led her to open her own decorating and styling consultancy,Room Service, in Cape town. * From the most basic level of choosing paint colours and contractors to renovate an existing home.
*Utilising the existing decor in a home and adding accessories, sourcing art and lighting, and using plants and flowers to add style comfort and elegance to a room.
*Consulting with clients as to their requirements and redoing a house entirely from start to finish. "I feel that interior designed spaces often lack a feeling of warmth as they usually reflect the designers' tastes and don't always incorporate personal items, which the home owner relates to. It is these items that change a house into a home and give it soul". "I try to utilize the existing decor which I then just dress up. This also keeps the costs of redecorating down". Through years of travelling I have developed a global style which first and foremost is about a relaxed approach to interiors. My aim is to create rooms that are lived in, that have atmosphere, warmth and soul.
