SIX MONTHS OF CREATING // Day 152 of 2026 has arrived faster than we could have imagined, and somehow we already find ourselves stepping into June.

The first half of this year has been filled with new projects, creative conversations, site visits, sourcing, installations, problem solving, and so many exciting moments in between. LIVING Studio has been wonderfully busy, and we are incredibly grateful for every client, project, and opportunity that has filled our days so far.

Follow along this month as we take you behind the scenes of what we have been creating in the Studio lately. From completed spaces to projects currently unfolding, June is set to be a beautiful one.

Over the past 10 years, it has been a privilege working alongside Tehila. She has consistently proven herself to be an invaluable part of the team through her dedication, creativity, and genuine passion for interior design in its many facets.

She brings a rare combination of softness and strength into the workplace — always caring, sweet, approachable, and thoughtful in the way she interacts with both colleagues, suppliers and clients.

Professionally, she is incredibly detail-orientated and hardworking. She approaches every project with care, precision, and pride, ensuring that even the smallest elements are thoughtfully considered. Her creativity shines through in her work, and her passion for design is evident in everything she does. She has a natural ability to see beauty, functionality, and balance, which adds tremendous value to our projects and team.
Over the years, she has shown unwavering commitment, loyalty, and professionalism. Her consistency and willingness to always give her best have earned the respect and appreciation of everyone around her.

And of course… no one knows a good snack break quite like T does 🍫🥐☕ Whether it’s chocolate, yummy pastries, or the occasional hot chocolate, these little favourites are all part of the warmth she brings to the Studio.

THIS HOME DESERVES ITS MOMENT // We are ending off May with a project that feels incredibly special to share.

A home that began as an empty shell and slowly became something layered, calm, personal, and deeply lived in. A project that challenged us creatively, inspired us constantly, and reminded us why we love what we do.

Today, we are sharing this Vermont project through Tehila’s eyes and her experience of bringing this home to life.

“What emerged from this project is now one of my favourite homes we’ve ever worked on.

Together with our clients, we created interiors that feel calm, layered, and deeply personal. The aesthetic balances Modern Coastal elements with softer touches of Classic Charm, while still feeling fresh and uncluttered.

We intentionally kept the spaces feeling light and balanced, while introducing vivid, crisp colour through artwork, fabrics, and custom furnishings to bring warmth and personality into the home.

Downstairs, the home was designed around entertaining and gathering, with a cosy TV lounge and braai room flowing onto a timber deck overlooking the swimming pool nestled into the garden. The connection between the interiors and surrounding landscape feels seamless throughout the home.

What I love most is that while the home feels beautifully styled and considered, it still feels warm, relaxed, and inviting at the same time.

This project will always be a special one to me.”

A FEW WORDS FROM KYLA // Tehila is the biggest social butterfly I’ve ever met, always ready with a smile, a hug, and of course always ready to eat cake. 💕

From the very beginning, she welcomed me with open arms and has mentored me with so much patience, passion, and kindness. She has an incredible ability to read clients and truly understand their style and vision, making them feel seen and understood. Her communication skills and dedication shine through in everything she does.

Tehila shows up every day giving more than 100%, pouring her heart and soul into her work and into the people around her. It’s such a privilege and pleasure working alongside someone who brings so much warmth and passion into every day.

TEHILA, IN HER ELEMENT // We recently asked Tehila two simple questions about the design process, and her answers turned into something far more meaningful.

Q: What is your favourite part of the design process?
A: 3D designing.

Q: Least favourite?
A: I’m not great with pictures, whether in front of or behind the camera. I much prefer being the one doing the designing behind the scenes.

3D design is not just my favourite part of the process, it is something I have loved for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always drawn to home decorating games, completely absorbed in planning spaces and figuring out how everything worked together.

Coming from a fine art background, I realised over time that I was more interested in the environment the art lived in, the layout, the furniture, the feeling of the space, than the artwork itself. That realisation led me to walk into Beach House Living one day and say, “I want to do interior design.” Vanessa took a chance on me, and the rest is history.

A few years later, after some time off in December, I came back with an idea. I had started exploring 3D design and saw how powerful it could be for our clients. I asked if we could bring it into our process and, once again, I was fully supported.

Today, 3D design is such a big part of how I work. It allows me to plan every detail, solve challenges creatively, and give clients a clear vision of their space before anything is implemented. It is where my love for design, planning, and creativity all come together, and it is what makes the process so fulfilling.

DESIGNED IN DIALOGUE WITH NATURE // Some homes immediately tell you how they want to feel, and this was one of them.

When our clients first showed us this property in Vermont, the house was completely empty, yet it already carried such a strong sense of warmth and calm. Surrounded by mature trees and split across two levels, the upstairs living spaces almost feel suspended within the landscape, like a treehouse tucked into nature.

Early on in the process, our clients shared a collection of watercolour artworks with us, and those pieces quietly became the thread that tied everything together. They inspired the palette, textures, and overall atmosphere of the interiors, guiding the design direction in a very natural way.

The interiors balance Modern Coastal influences with softer touches of Classic Charm. Layered and welcoming, while still feeling fresh and uncluttered. Every decision was made with the intention of creating spaces that feel peaceful and grounded, yet still full of life through crisp colour, natural textures, and carefully considered detail.

The downstairs spaces were designed with entertaining and connection in mind. A cosy TV room and braai room extend onto a newly built wooden deck overlooking the swimming pool nestled into the garden, creating a seamless indoor outdoor flow into the surrounding greenery.

From developing the spaces in 3D, to designing custom furnishings and layering the final finishing touches, this project has been an incredibly rewarding creative process from start to finish.

THE ROOM EVERY TEENAGER DREAMS OF // Sometimes the most meaningful feedback comes from the people the space was created for.

This project gave Tehila the opportunity to take a simple brief and turn it into something completely personal. A music themed bedroom layered with personality, favourite bands, posters, and details that made the space feel entirely Matt’s own.

And then came the messages afterwards…

From Matt:
“Hi Tehila. It’s Matt. Thank you so much for what you’ve done to my room! It looks awesome! Everything came together so well and completely changed my room. Thank you so much! What you’ve done is so cool!”

From Mom:
“Thanks again for your wonderful work!”

From Dad:
“Matt’s room looks absolutely fantastic. The only problem is that both the kids have better rooms than we do now.”

Safe to say Mom and Dad may be next in line for a bedroom makeover. 😄

Every project I’ve worked on holds a story, a feeling, and a connection, which makes it almost impossible to choose just one to share 🤍
