Good morning, spring!🌿

There is something about the start of spring that makes us want to open the windows, let in a little more light and give our homes a refresh.

Some new decor, fresh curtains, a reupholstered chair or even just a few new scatters can make such a difference.

Sometimes, the biggest transformation starts with something you already have.

A new fabric can completely change the look and feel of a chair. The shape stays, the character stays, but suddenly it feels fresh, considered and completely at home in a new space.

Out with the old and in with the new… but not completely. In this case we swapped out the worn and dark vinyl for a beautiful new and neutral fabric, as well as removing the studs and replacing with a double piping feature.

Here at the House of Décor, we love creating something new from scratch, but we also love giving much-loved pieces a second life. Our workshop is where chairs, sofas, headboards and other treasured pieces are reupholstered, refreshed and made beautiful again.

Once all your selections have been made, we’ll put together a detailed, personalised quote for your project.

Everything will be clearly itemised, so you know exactly what’s included before we move forward.

Once your quote has been approved, your curtains are carefully made in our workshop by our skilled team.

From precise cutting and expert stitching to the finishing touches, every detail is handled with care to create beautifully made curtains, made specifically for your space.

Before your curtains leave our workshop, every piece is carefully checked to make sure the quality and finish are just right.

A little look at what we’ve been up to lately, and no two sites are looking quite the same.

Cabinetry going in. Worktops being templated. Building works underway. Renovations taking shape. New builds moving along.

Some spaces are still very much a work in progress, while others are starting to look like the finished vision we’ve had in mind from the beginning.

It’s the busy, dusty, exciting part of the process where everything starts coming together. Lots happening behind the scenes, plenty of moving parts, and some seriously beautiful projects in the making.

We loved bringing this bedroom to life with playful, thoughtful details designed to make the most of every corner. From the custom dollhouse-inspired cupboard to soft scallops and rounded edges throughout, every element was considered and crafted with purpose.

Custom bunk beds with playful scatters create the perfect space for sleepovers, while clever hidden step storage helps keep everything neat and tidy. A cosy upholstered bench seat adds the perfect little spot to curl up, while the dedicated study nook, complete with a custom desk chair, brings personality to the space.

A bedroom designed for childhood, but with plenty of room to grow.

Who wouldn’t want the best of both worlds?

With a double track, you can have the softness and elegance of a sheer curtain, with the practicality of a blockout curtain, all in one beautiful window treatment.

Sheers at the front create a soft, layered look while allowing natural light into the room and providing privacy during the day. Behind them, the blockout curtain is there when you need a little more privacy, want to filter out the morning sun or create a darker, more restful space.

Like with these wave curtains, the result is soft, fluid and beautifully tailored.
