A little personal note 🩷

For those of you who may not know me beyond the flowers — I had the incredible privilege of marrying my best friend this past September.

As someone who lives and breathes flowers, I knew I wanted to do something a little different for my own wedding. I dreamed of blooms that felt bright, joyful and full of personality — flowers that truly felt like me.

Instead of choosing a single colour palette, I decided to make each table its own moment, with different colours and combinations, creating a space that felt playful, warm and celebratory.

Designing my own wedding flowers was deeply personal and reminded me why I love what I do so much — flowers have a way of telling stories, holding emotion, and turning meaningful moments into memories 💛

What you’ll see towards the end are a few behind-the-scenes moments from the night before the wedding. On the same day as my own wedding, we were also booked for another celebration, which meant my flowers only came together late that evening. My amazing bridesmaids — none of them florists — jumped in to help, and we arranged flowers late into the night, running on little sleep, pre-wedding nerves, and a lot of uncontrollable laughter.

These are memories I’ll treasure forever 💙

A birthday celebration in bloom 🌸

This beautiful bunch was created for a special birthday at the wonderful Serondella Lodge — the perfect setting for meaningful moments.

After a wonderful December break, The Floral Bar opens again tomorrow with normal trading hours, and gifting from Umoya will be available.
Our first fresh flower delivery of the year arrives on Tuesday, and we couldn’t be more excited.

We’re beyond excited for a year of celebrations, weddings, and sharing beautiful moments with our clients 🤍
