Our sustainable kelp forest is a marvel to behold. Made by some of our talented Watershed tenants, and the social-design collaborative Our Workshop, it dangles overhead as one wanders through the Watershed.

The hanging kelp garlands are made from old plastic bottles, sourced around the city, and we are so thankful to the members of the public who got involved in making them by attending workshops with Our Workshop.

The seaweed is made by Davis Ndungu of Recycled Flip Flop Sculptures, while the wooden fish are by Kenau Botha of BlocART, who used recycled wood for these pieces. The colourful jellyfish, starfish and angel fish you’ll see swimming through this installation were skilfully formed from wire and beadwork by Bishop and Anderson Tarambawamwe of Master Wire and Bead Craft.
