A space that was once completely unused…
now transformed into the ultimate teenage dream bedroom.

What used to be a forgotten patio area is now a fully reimagined extension of the room - designed to create a private TV lounge retreat where relaxation and style meet.

WE INTRODUCED:
• A custom TV lounge zone with star-light ceiling for the perfect movie-night atmosphere
• Full black oak joinery, including a bespoke dressing table
• Elegant wall paneling with integrated LED lighting to create warmth and depth
• A layout that maximises both comfort and functionality

This transformation is a perfect example of how thoughtful design can unlock the hidden potential within a home - turning unused spaces into something truly special.

This project started as a raw construction site - exposed brick, unfinished walls, and the promise of something greater. Through careful planning, layered design thinking, and collaboration with skilled craftsmen, it evolved into a refined and functional home.

The Wahlberg Project in Johannesburg is a testament to the power of thoughtful design - where structure, texture, and detail come together to create spaces that feel both elevated and deeply personal. I am the Founder and Creative Director of Living Inspired Interiors, a Johannesburg-based design studio specialising in full-scope residential and commercial interiors across South Africa and beyond.

My work is rooted in layered storytelling, conscious craftsmanship, and purposeful design. I believe spaces should do more than look beautiful ~ they should feel intentional, elevate daily living, and reflect the soul of the people who inhabit them.

From bespoke joinery and curated art sourcing to large-scale renovations and commercial projects, I lead each design with a strategic yet deeply personal approach. Collaboration with local artisans and suppliers is central to my process, ensuring every space carries authenticity, heritage, and refined detail.

Beyond design, I am passionate about mentorship, women in business, and building a brand that inspires growth ~ not only in spaces, but in people.

From the green stone-topped oak pedestals and sculptural black lamps, to the tailored upholstered headboard and tonal cushions, every element is carefully curated to balance elegance and comfort.
