I have the most exciting news! The phenomenal — pioneer of sustainable design, space design visionary, and author — has invited me to join her team on a groundbreaking project: researching design for spacecraft and life in outer space.

Starting next month, we’ll be interviewing astronauts to learn what would make their lives in space more comfortable, and then exploring how to translate those insights into innovative design solutions.

This is what goes into creating a dream home. Sometimes people question interior design fees, but what they don't see is the work behind the scenes. Concept development, space planning, technical drawings. And this is just the start. Once you get the go ahead there's endless on site meetings with contractors and the client. Visits to stores to source furniture and samples. Project management and problem solving. And only then is the installation undertaken.

We love what we do but good design isn't about sourcing a few decor items and decorating a space - there's a whole process behind it
