Did you know you can use our Inktense range for printmaking? 🙌
With its highly pigmented colour, Inktense is perfect for creating art beyond the page, on paper, ceramics, wood, and even fabric.
Here’s what you’ll need👇
• Derwent Inktense products
(Inktense pencils, Inktense blocks, or Inktense paint pans)
• Paint brushes
• A plain canvas tote bag
• A pot of water
• An embroidery ring (optional)
• A covered surface (trust us, it’s very pigmented!)
1️⃣ Step One: Dampen
Lightly dampen your fabric before you begin applying colour.
2️⃣ Step Two: Add Your Colour
Activate the Inktense pigment with water and start creating! You can apply water directly over your design, or dilute the pigment with water on your brush before applying it to the fabric.
3️⃣ Step Three: Let It Dry
Leave your design to dry for around 10 minutes.
For best results, we recommend a cool hand wash (below 30 degrees) with no harsh detergents.
Don’t forget to tag us in your creations! Happy printmaking! 🫶
Keep discovering.
