This incredible hand-painted mural, featuring the beautiful Cape Winelands, was painted by one of our talented clients on our 10 x 10 cm bisque tiles. Every brushstroke brings this scene to life, proving that a simple tile can become a timeless work of art.

Oh! S L I P 🤬🥺 happens. A nightmare come true!

Our motor that mixers our 2 ton blunger packed up (first nightmare)!

We hate change, but we learn to addapt. We started mixing our powder in a small black bin to keep production going while the motor was getting some tlc (second nightmare)!

Motor was repaired, and our reliable sparky came to install the motor. But because the slip inside the blunger had been standing, it started to harden, and couldn't turn the shaft (third nightmare)!

Because the blunger is raised on stilts and has a drainage hole, we were able to open the plug and forcefully remove the thick clunky slip, with a stick, into a drum. It took a lot of force and muscle. (starting to wake up from the nightmare)

BUT, when we arrived at work the next morning, we noticed we had actually cause damage during the drainage. A pipe that runs from the blunger to the arc dismantled during the night, creating the perfect escape hole for the slip to drizzle out.

It was so painful. Oh! And did i mention we had a power outage for 5 hours the same day we walked into this pile of S L I P 🤬
3 kilns suffered during this outage.

And you wonder why we are always stressed out! Its not always fun and games behind the scenes. But we try our best .
