🎥 Our Greenhouse Dream Is Finally Complete!

Today, we’re so excited to share the finished result of our brand-new orchid and houseplant Greenhouse!

This is something I have dreamed about for many, many years, and standing here today, I can hardly believe it’s real. Seeing this beautiful greenhouse completed is truly overwhelming, and my heart is filled with gratitude.

A very special thank you goes to Anton 💙 Without your vision, dedication, and hard work, I don’t think I would ever have been able to turn this dream into reality.

The Greenhouse has been thoughtfully designed with built-in growing tables, providing plenty of space for our orchids and houseplants to flourish for many years to come.

Growing Granadillas in the Western Cape

Granadillas are one of the easiest and most rewarding fruiting vines to grow in the Western Cape. They thrive in full sun, enjoy warm summers, and produce delicious, sweet fruit when well cared for.

🌿 Planting: Choose a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil. Plant near a strong trellis, fence, or pergola, as the vines need support to climb.

💧 Watering: Water regularly, especially during hot, dry summer months. Keep the soil moist but never waterlogged.

🌱 Feeding: Feed every 4–6 weeks during the growing season with a balanced fruit tree or organic fertiliser. A layer of compost or mulch helps retain moisture and keeps the roots cool.

✂️ Pruning: Light pruning after fruiting encourages healthy new growth and improves the next season’s harvest.

🍈 Harvest: Fruit is ready to pick when the skin turns deep purple or yellow (depending on the variety) and begins to wrinkle slightly. A healthy vine can reward you with an abundant crop year after year.
