VanderNest Furniture was founded in 1976 in the quaint town of Lydenburg, Mpumalanga, South Africa, by Lampie van der Nest. School teacher by profession, he taught Economics and Woodwork until 1978, after which he starting manufacturing solid timber furniture full time. Leon van der Nest, son of Lampie, joined the business formally in January 2002 and succeeded his talented father as owner in Augu
st 2005. This second generation expanded the business to incorporate current styles and designs as well meeting the specific needs of discerning clientele.
