New Abstract Painting complete!

NO paintbrush today.... Oil paint on 30x40cm canvas applied and painted with my fingers and hand only. Great experience!

Wire Snare Antelope unveiling!

To coincide with the wildlife release at Serenity Hills Eco Estate last week by FreeMe Wildlife, I was invited to install the Wire Snare Antelope to help celebrate the monumental occasion and success of the release.

The piece is currently on display at their show unit and will be hanging there for the next 3 weeks. As an artist it's really phenomenal to create pieces that have a deeper meaning and to have the ability for it to spread a greater message about conservation and the threats to wildlife and wild spaces.

Amazing collaboration for an incredible cause!

Sculpture coming to life....

The figures basic shape has been filled and ready for some muscular definition and texture.

Still a way to go, but looking forward to completing the sculpture this coming week.

Textured Canvases complete!

The trio of 20x20cm textured box canvases have been finished with a bright Ice Cream White and are ready for display.

Abstract paintings complete!

Thoroughly enjoyed creating these pieces in acrylic, applying the numerous layers of paint with only a scraper!

Progress continues....

The first layer is complete! Plaster soaked strips of membrane cloth are added to the wire armature to form the base of the figures shape.

Now onto hours of sculpting and defining to bring the figure to life....
