Latest design team project for Penelope Dee using the gorgeous "Saffron" collection.

The flowers and leaves on Lorraine Haddath’s daughter Bridget’s dress were such a lovely match to the floral elements in the collection that she felt as though the papers had been made with this photograph in mind.

For the background Lorraine used “Whispering leaves” building the layout with layered circles and a dimensional floral wreath. She combined HEARTWOOD, SAFFRON GOLD, HEART & HOME and DUSTY MAUVE, layering and fussy cutting the beautiful flower and leaf wreath to create a soft flowing frame around the photograph. Lorraine added subtle stencilling to the central spotty circle to bring another layer of texture while the birds and vintage ephemera add little touches of interest throughout the page. Sometimes the perfect collection finds the perfect photograph – and this one certainly did.

Big, Big thx to Penelope Dee and Trocraft for sponsoring a wonderful prize of a beautiful "Rosey" bulk pack for my competition at this weekend's Spring Craft retreat at Emseni. The question was to guess my Mom's name who is featured on my design team layout using this collection. We had some amazing guesses but sadly no correct entries so all went into a hat and the winner picked out which was Selve Naiker. Congratulations Selve - hope you have many, many happy hours creating with this gorgeous pack 💕

From spring hats to stunning classes to amazing gifts and prizes from all the generous sponsors, a fabulous weekend was had by all.
My first time teaching at a retreat turned out to be an amazing experience - enjoyed every minute with every group most of whom I hadn't met before, but all became instant friends. To my "purple" group of ladies thankyou for the fun, laughter and creative time together.
To Sharon and Patricia - I am sure everyone will agree that you put on a craft retreat to cherish and remember for a long time to come. Thankyou 🥰
