Our Rosa damascena project is well under way 🌹
This is our third batch of plants going in — another step in building a regenerative crop around one of the world’s oldest and most extraordinary roses.
For us, Rosa damascena is about far more than the flower itself. It is about growing a high-value crop in a way that works with the land: improving soil, building biodiversity, creating local value through harvesting and distillation, and developing an agricultural model that can be both beautiful and economically meaningful.
There is something very special about seeing these plants move from propagation into the field and knowing they will become part of a much bigger story — one rooted in regeneration, fragrance, farming and long-term land stewardship.
And a very heartfelt thank you to Ludwig’s Roses — my family, my roots, and the place where so much of my own understanding of roses began — for growing these beautiful plants for us and being part of this project. 🌹
Third batch in. The fields are taking shape.
