A quiet collaboration, included my Labyrinth pattern design as a small part of this beautiful hanging sculpture.

Commissioned for the Estée Lauder HQ in Johannesburg, her concept combines an array of African designs, each celebrating a different facet of creative African life.

“Each adorned element in this sculpture will tell its own story - stories woven through rich textures, intricate patterns, and exquisite craftsmanship that have stood the test of time.”

Thank you for adding my story to this multicultural artwork.

Mood boards matter!

I couldn’t agree more with and her philosophy on how important conceptualisation is. She has used my Labyrinth design as an inspiration for her luxe space.

“The interior design concept process always needs a moodboard, to select materials, textures, references that help us know how we want our end result to look like.

This is the moodboard developed with the tool for the interior design of the secondary dining room of a penthouse in Las Vegas.”

This a repost and is the interior designer of this gorgeous space.

💬 Are you loving this monochromatic look?

A lovely testimonial from House Gait, South Africa.

“At first, I was hesitant to get an interior designer as I felt that I wouldn’t be able to choose what I really wanted in my home and that it was perhaps not worth it as how hard could it be to style a house.

This was never the case with Krissy.

Krissy’s posts always reflect fine brands such as Weylands and Weylands comes with a price tag.

I was worried that she wouldn’t take into account that we didn’t want to go the Weylands route.

My concerns around that were quickly rectified by her stringent boundaries with the budget and her impeccable communication, even when my communication wasn’t on point.

Her bargaining and buying skills served our budget well and ensured no unnecessary purchases.”

A lovely testimonial from House Gait, South Africa

“My favourite part of the process was receiving the mood boards and seeing our home come to life even though we weren’t there physically.

The images she used were accurate and to scale which made the render of the different rooms realistic and easy to change if need be.

One of the problems that she solved with ease was our light fittings; they were black and were eye sores in the room, Krissy painted them all white which at the time we had no idea we could do.

She also ensured that our furniture is all pet friendly and easily washable which was a big thing for us. “

Inspired by pattern and prints, I present to you, my favourite black and white GRAPHIC rugs in all shapes and sizes from .

A good rug can ground a space (especially if your room is large and open plan). They help delineate different areas within a room, and why not make them attractive and fun to look at or play on too!

Top tip: if you’re placing a rug under your dining room table, make sure its 1m larger than your table as a minimum! If your table is 1m x 2m, get a 2m x 3m rug (or as close as dammit.)

I’d love to collaborate on a rug, if you’ve got an project or room in mind, let’s make magic happen!

A bold statement of ‘This is my home, this is me’. I created this Ndebele inspired design after the cultural practise they exercise of painting your home to reflect who you are. It is a contemporary approach to individuality and self expression.

The design is available in fabric and wallpaper. You can change colours and scale the design to your specific project, there are no limits! And I’m always a phone all or email away if you need guidance.

Want to see samples? I know you need to touch and feel the real thing! I will be launching my KH Collection fabric range at 100% Design Africa this year. Are you coming?

Catch me on 3-6 August 2023 at the Sandton Convention Centre.
