Trying to contact this gentleman from the Xolebeni area...beautiful grass beer baskets!!!!

Returned from our Xolobeni expedition with new found connections. Especially this gem of a crafter.

Isitya Sokuphuza (Beer drinking basket vessel)
Materials. Ilala palm and Udevu grass (wetland grass)
1 week preparation. 1 Full week to construct.

Zolani lives in the Port St John's area and does the most delightful carvings, highly detailed and accurate. In stock, the cow (7,5 cm high and 12 cm long) is on offer at R400, as is the donkey (standing 6 cm high and 10 cm long) at R 300 and the mother pig (standing aprox 4 cm high and 80 cm long) at R 45.
