Luxury fashion is typically defined by garments with big brand name logos on them or fashion houses with shiny flagship stores on high street. Adele’s Mohair believes luxury is artisanal, made by hand, using natural fibres and made slowly. To celebrate our 43rd year of business we are sharing one of our Conscious Care Free Cardigans. We received many comments and guesses so we wish we could give you all a cardigan. The winner is kimmy_yogababe!
The fun and vibrant cardigan pictured was knitted using 21 colours of beautifully brushed Adele’s mohair yarn. The best part about this cardigan is that it prevents waste and can be knitted with any colour palette. Today is Heritage Day in South Africa. 🇿🇦

A day to pause and reflect on those who came before us, the knowledge they passed down, and the traditions we carry forward together.

The heritage of artisanal craft in South Africa is something to treasure. At Adéle’s Mohair, we are especially proud of the women in our team who have honed their skills over many years, preserving and evolving the art of working with natural fibres.

We hope that, wherever you are in the world, knitting with our yarn allows you to feel a little piece of South African heritage in your hands.
