This is actually the 'bridge' over the driveway connecting the main house to the girls bedroom above the garage. Being a long and narrow passage, the space was difficult to define at first. But over time, my client said it would make the perfect playroom for her 4 kids.
As this is quite a grand house, this playroom needed to feel luxurious. But most importantly, playful, functional and plenty of storage.
This beautiful navy, modular couch sits neatly in the window recess. The colourful scatters actually set the colour palette for the rest of the room - the rust tones picked up in the rug, bolster and the brass chandeliers. And the soft blue in the swivel chair. The oak coffee table has storage drawers below, perfect for all those legos. And lastly, custom cabinets with plenty of hidden storage. As well as oak shelves to display books, board games, artwork etc.
