I grew up in a restoration environment where my mom was woodcarving instructor and my dad a collector of many antique artefacts like model cars, gramophones, clocks and antique cars. This imprinted the love of restoration in me to the point where I attended a summer school in automotive restoration at McPherson college in the USA in 2007.
Aside from this my career as a development engineer at Nissan SA gave me a good background in project management to enable me to plan and complete a few restoration projects
Now that Nissan SA is closing its development department in South Africa I am looking an opportunity to grow my restoration side hustle into a reel business where I can produce quality restorations at a reasonable cost in the South African environment.
